Many teenagers feel there is not much they can do to help our country. If one person is helped, your town is a better place to live. You should consider sometimes using your babysitting skills to help make the lives of others better. Lots of people can not afford babysitters due to money. If the people you sit for are suddenly unable to afford you, consider cutting your costs for a while or even doing the work for free. Give them gift certificates for free babysitting. Get them to help you clean the house for their parents, leaving a cute note that says the elves have been here.
Sometimes the children will get tensed and you have to help them to feel safe and happy. It is hard for the parents to ease the children or provide fun for them when they are so worried themselves. Plan some fun things for them to get relaxed and to forget their difficulties. Just promise them that their parents are doing a good job of taking care of them and encourage them to ask their parents if they have questions you don’t think you should answer. You should never criticize the parents to the children in any situation.
