Goodhue and seven other students were elected to take part in a mini-workshop taught by professional television producer Rick Shaw, Park School alum, known as Writing for a Situation Comedy Part 1. Shaw, a graduate of the Class of 1977, produced the hit television show The Nanny and has written for a variety of shows, including The Simple Life, The Jeffersons and The Love Boat. Goodhue was one of the eight students from among 100 applicants for participating in last months workshop after writing a 100-word essay aimed at demonstrating her great ability for generating laughs. Goodhue drew in funny anecdotes about her life, writing about her friends, her own crazy antics and her quirks in her essay.
