The Woodleigh Childcare Centre in Loxton is planning to develop in order to meet the town's needs. Tanya Lehmann, the secretary of the not-for-profit centre says a survey of parents and employers in the area showed a need to increase childcare places and the variety of services as well. Ms.Lehmann says it is hoping to turn the childcare facility into a multi-function centre where parents are also invited to take courses, TAFE training, and access a library. She says it is currently seeking a community partner for the plan and we'll be looking at a partnership apparently with them around building the next stage of the centre only when we know one way or the other whether children, youth and women's health service are keen to come on board.
