Conventional knowledge suggests that TV can be harmful to young children. For New City inhabitants Eileen and Kevin McDowell, though, a TV show, Foxs Nanny 911, help their children. It all ongoing when Nanny Deb and her 15-person camera crew spent a week 13 hours per day file the McDowells home life. Among the matter the stern, but considerate, British caretaker tackled: Ryan (9) unwillingness to do his tasks, Michaels (then 5) bed-wetting, and Christopher (then 3) fright of resting alone.
Watching the event was a bit nerve-racking, says Kevin, but it changed my family. Among Nanny Debs tips: To stop Christopher from crying when getting out of the bath, use an egg clock as a tubby-time cutoff signal. She also recommended that, as an alternative of putting down all three kids at the same time which often led to blaring Eileen and Kevin stagger bedtimes. Everybody receiving a lot more sleep, sighs Kevin, especially Dad. The families friends thinking it was wild to volunteer for Nanny 911, but they were eventually impressed. After all, says Kevin, Kids do not come with orders.
