Finding a baby sitter to look after your baby for a few hours is somewhat different from finding a nanny that is responsible to become a large part of your child´s life. The best way to locate a good babysitter is by asking friends who they use or by looking at youngsters in your locality and approaching people you feel would be suitable. Consider setting up an arrangement with other parents in the area where babysitting is swapped. This reduces costs, allows your child to enjoy other children's companies and you can feel assured that the caretaker is experienced as they are a fellow parent.
Choose a nanny may take a little more work. The best way is to contact an approved agency. They will ask for your requirements and job description. When interviewing, have a checklist, consider things such as experience, first aid training and any habits such as smoking. Discuss payment and transportation if required (and not already cleared through the agency in the case of nannies). Watch the caretaker interact with your child, leave the room and allow them to play alone but listen in occasionally to see how they deal with discipline and how they re-direct play when required.
The agency should then send you a list of possibilities. Once you have decided to appoint a nanny, draw up a contract, consent to terms such as hours per week expected to work, duties that will be included, provisions for sickness and holiday leave. Any benefits such as live-in, meals provided, use of car, should be clearly noted so as to avoid confusion. Ensure that the nanny is happy with these terms.
Parents will be able to examine the babysitters to find whether they should be working with children. The parent have to search for a babysitter for every childcare need if it is for full-time, part-time, experience baby sitter, languages spoken, pay-rate and other skills.
Today baby sitters are likely to come with more training and business abilities than their predecessors. They have trained with baby-sitting, studying the ins and outs of diapering and feeding, of household safety and first-aid. They have learned to entertain particular toddlers and wheedle the snappish to bed, special-needs of children. The sitter is not there to keep amused herself. When she is on duty for the parents, she has to be a good Protector and the watcher.

Bionic Nanny has come up which is also called as Mechanical Nanny. Leszek Katnik of Gdansk was told by his daughter to help his daughter who was worn out by her son's ceaseless crying. The model took two weeks to design and develop. The inventor placed a motor in an old tool box. A rope attached to the baby´s pram made it swing. The baby went to sleep within minutes. The sensor is built in to respond to the baby´s cries and movements. The inventor says that "Everything is possible". Now the mechanical nanny also works in the conjunction with a tape recorder which plays back the baby´s parents voices.
The Conwy and Denbighshire trust says the housekeepers will harmonize the work of frontline medical staff, "leaving nurses to nurse". Their job is to have special care over the sanitation of the wards and quality of food and also has the responsibility to welcome the visitors. The trust says they will be the first of their kind in the NHS in Wales. Similar appointments have been made in England; but their roles and tasks will be dissimilar. Thus this comes into trail at Glan Clwyd Hospital´s cancer centre.
The trust says there will be about 10 housekeepers in the first wave of appointments, on a one-per-ward basis at Glan Clwyd hospital. The system will be then rolled out to include the trust´s community hospitals. The new workers do not require a background in nursing, but a "good understanding" of clinical care is needed.
The housekeepers will have some of the administration tasks currently carried out by nurses such as stock ordering, as well as acting as the "eyes and ears" within the ward to maintain standards.
Despite the demand, some professional housekeepers remain unemployed. The students who are studying home economics came to Beijing from the neighboring region of Hebei seeking for job opportunities. But most of the male students find hard in the past weeks. Only few of the men´s are getting jobs that too employed as a short term employees. Most of them have to wok as cleaning men by the hour. The courses as household management and children education, doesn´t seem to help said by the young men.
The men reason behind it is many people believe that man cant do housework well. Some also worry about security. But they say men often perform better than women in tasks like cooking and cleaning and people need to open their minds. The young students, though unappreciated to date, will stay in Beijing for another month.

Many families have booked housekeepers in advance to cook the big dinner on the Lunar New Year's eve. So there will be increase in demand for housekeepers during every Chinese Lunar New year. The next year is the Year of the Pig beginning from Feb. 18, 2007.

What I know and believe is that God is watching all that is happening and one day He´s going to react. That´s all I can say" said by Phindile Nkhambule.
A nanny is defined as "a child's nurse". The traditional nanny was a servant in a large household and reported directly to the lady of the house. Nannies were always female and this remained the case through the 20th Century. This role currently stands firmly as a sector of early childhood education.
The nanny in a great house ran her own tiny domain, supported by at least one nursery maid. Because of their role in child care, they were somewhat more indulged than junior servants. Nannies may have remained in the employ of the same aristocratic family for years, looking after successive generations of children
