Before hiring a nanny or a child care person you need to ask certain question and need to trust your own instincts. A nanny or au pair would offer your child individual notice in the safe setting of house. Keep these things in mind:
- Make sure you carefully check with prospective nanny's references and work history
- Don't be shy; just ask any question related to the nanny's work. This will make you feel comfortable.
- Make sure you give your children time to interact with the prospective nanny or au pair. Always hire on a trial basis. Personalities often clash, and a trial period makes it easier to fire the nanny should it come to that. As with a day care center, trust your instincts. Hire someone you and your children like and are comfortable with.
